Brekhus, 49, is hoping to be re-elected in this year’s bid for Reno City Council Ward 1. She won 2012’s election with 58 percent of the votes over her opponent Bernie Carter.
Salcido, 33, is running against Jenny Brekhus for Reno City Council, Ward 1. This is his first time running for local office.
This year’s race for Sparks Ward 1 is particularly special. For the first time in the city’s history, there are two Millennials running for the same spot on the Sparks City Council.
His name will appear on the Nevada primary ballot on June 14, 2016 as HAMILTON, Eddie “Trumblican”. As suggested, Hamilton is a self-identified super fan of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and hopes to be his “go-to guy” in the Senate if elected to the open seat.
When it comes to education, Democratic Congressional candidate Susie Lee would tell you she’s devoted much of her life to improving the lives of Nevada’s children. Among her accolades is her role as president for the Communities In Schools of Nevada board.
